Brian: Because Metallica is driving the bus for the Big 4 tour, and I understand what you're saying but, it's a Misfits cover that Metallica did and i'm sure all have played before at some point in thier carreers.
On a seperate note, I feel much more comfortable now that Ian shaved his hair off. It just didn't seem right when he had the Zakk BLS look goin on. lol.

The whole big4 deal really comes down to money. All these bands are earning more money collectively, than they could on individual tours .American Carnage was a much better deal for me,60$ floor. I woudnt pay an extra 100-150 bucks to see Metallica, but thats just me. See both of you guys points though.

LOL, we do agree then.
I think you're right.
In Lars and James eyes this is totally their tour.
The other three won't make a fuss as yes, they are making a TON of money as a four band tour.
I remember when everyone said the original Clash tour would never work but it did, I'm glad this one is also.
I'm just tired of Met and the whole "brand name" thing they've turned into.
King in Megadeth LMAO!!!!!
I don't think that would have lasted past one album.
Both men have huge egos.
It never would have worked long term.

It would be really interesting to know how the money on this big 4 thing gets split. Obviously Anthrax cant command the same cash as the others, they havent released new work in years. They are the ones really making out on this. Too bad Testament,Overkill,Exodus couldnt get thrown on this, make it an all day fest. Those three have actually gotten better with age.So the whole big 4 concept is a bit misleading i think.

i think we have to realize a few things,
we are not close to be over the hill metal heads with families and physical problems due to life style and aging. we should not judge as we would also be going for the big money as well. when one is young its easy to have a thought of i can take on the world or whatever it is that keeps you from "cashing in" but the world revolves around money. and we all need it. as long as they have not sold out (ahem , Metallica) and conform to radio garbage you need to support if our a fan. i would do anything if i had mouths to feed, they are much more important than music.

Looks like Lars is going through his "fat Elvis" stage.
Yuck.
And why is it, whenever the big 4 do the group routine it's always a Metallica cover.
How bout the big 4 doing a Raining Blood or Rust in Peace group rendition?
