Chaosbreed Announce Helsinki Gig

Chaosbreed, the new Finnish death metal supergroup consisting of drummer Nalle Österman (ex-Gandalf), bassist Oppu Laine (ex-Amorphis, Mannhai), guitarist Marko Tarvonen (Moonsorrow), guitarist Esa Holopainen (Amorphis), and vocalist Taneli Jarva (ex-Sentenced, The Black League), will perform selections from their upcoming debut album, "Brutal", at Stella Star Club in Helsinki on Friday, December 19. Chasobreed will take the stage at 10:00 p.m. Other bands set to appear on the bill are Cause for Effect, The Wake and Omnium Gatherum. Tickets cost 6 euros.

In other news, Chasobreed are currently finalizing a recording contract with a "well-known metal label," according to a post on the band's web site. An official statement on the matter will be made as soon as the contracts have been signed.

"Brutal", tentatively due in early 2004, was recorded at CCPC studio with producers Santeri Kallio and Niclas Etelävuori and includes guest appearances by Entombed guitarist Uffe Cederlund and bassist Jörgen Sandström.

As previously reported, Chaosbreed's "Unleashed Carnage" demo/mini-CD will be issued in North America and Europe through Crash Music Inc. on January 13, 2004.
