Porcupine Tree vocalist and guitarist Steven Wilson has announced that he will be canceling several of his forthcoming tour dates with his Blackfield side project. The cancellation, which currently includes four of the band's upcoming stops, is due to the passing of Steven Wilson's father. Wilson posted a short statement online which reads:
"Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and Vancouver are all also definitely cancelled. My apologies to all those who bought tickets or made travel arrangements to come to these concerts, I hate doing this, but the circumstances are exceptional. As soon as I know when the tour can resume I will let you know."
All of us at Metalunderground.com offer our condolences to the Wilson family.
