Staind Sets "Seven" As Title Of Forthcoming New Album
American hard rock act Staind has announced that "Seven" will be the title of its forthcoming new full length album, due out by the end of the year through Atlantic Records.
Staind guitarist Mike Mushok commented on the new album by saying:
"It's completely different than the last record 'The Illusion Of Progress.' It's more of a throwback to where we came from. You know, [the] 'Dysfunction' and 'Tormented' albums. I don't think there's any rehashed riffs; I definitely think it's fresh. It's a modern-sounding version of a heavy Staind record. It's pretty cool."

eh, early albums were ok at best nothing spectacular there for me. saw aaron lewis is playing a hob show in my town so i was wondering about this band but i dont think anyone in staind has the musical abilty or originality to pull anything awesome, especially from a metal head's point of view, thier own guitarist did describe the new album as being "pretty cool", even he's not overly thrilled with it, just "eh it's ok..."

Ya Broken, pretty sure that was the one...I hated them dudes almost as much as I hated Creed, so nah W7, I won't be snagging this one :)

the band originates about a half hour drive from where i live in western massachusetts, so i have to root for the hometown band and give them a chance. i never cared for the duet aaron lewis did with fred durst, but i like how staind has both incredibly heavy songs and tender ballads.
