Caliban Premieres Cover of Type O Negative's "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" Online

Metalunderground.com is proud to bring you the premiere of German metalcore band Caliban's new Type O Negative cover, "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend." It's an interesting take, mixing hardcore/metal and gothic doom metal. The cover song is one of four, along with covers of Rammstein, At The Gates, and The Beatles, off of Caliban's upcoming EP, "Coverfield," which is out now on iTunes and via Century Media Records.

The band previously released a short sample from The Beatles cover of "Helter Skelter" here, as well as a studio video update for the recordings here.

The tracklisting for "Coverfield" is as follows:

2. Sonne (3:45) originally by Rammstein
3. Blinded By Fear (2:35) originally by At The Gates
4. Helter Skelter (3:36) originally by The Beatles

Caliban is currently touring Europe and has been confirmed to play the Rock Harz Festival and Summer Breeze Festival.

It took a couple listens for me to warm up to, but I like it as well. The hardcore shouting was the hardest to accept, but I like how they mix up and layer the vocals.
