Vancouver metal act Quartered has announced that it has been nominated in the "Best Metal Band" category at this year's first annual Urban Culture Conference. The new awards event has categories based in music, blogs, arts, sports, food, beer, radio and nightlife (amongst many others) which all spotlight distinct Vancouver talent.

You can find the entire list of "Best Metal Band" nominees below and you can also cast your vote, for every category, at this location.
