Trapped Under Ice Frontman Apologizes For His Actions And For Attacking A Fan In Europe
Trapped Under Ice frontman Justice Tripp has posted the following statement online through the band's official Facebook page in repsonse to his recent actions in Germany where he attacked a young fan in attendance at the 2011 "Rebellion" tour.
"First off I’d like to say I’m sorry for not getting this done sooner. We’ve had very limited Internet access over here in Europe. There are a lot of things being said about the events in Essen a few days ago. Some are true some are not.
"I would first like to clarify that I didn’t do what I did out of ANGER but what I thought was self defense. When I was knocked off the stage I hit my head, a lot of stuff after that is a blur. However it is clear that I took it too far and I’m sorry for that.
"I'd like to keep the other parties name out of this, as I’m not certain if he is comfortable with being named. At end of the night I got the chance to apologize to him face to face and he accepted my apology. I think a lot of people may be unaware of that at this point.
"In any case, I’m very sorry to the other party involved. Im sorry to anyone who had to witness my stupid behavior. This is not typical behavior for me or my band. Don’t feel discouraged to come out to the rebellion tour. Our actions do not represent the package. So again, I apologize.
Justice and Trapped Under Ice"

its called a 'canned apology statement', the lil' faggits employers put the pressure on his punk ass....
but i did like the part about the broke jawed kid "accepting his apology"....wonder if he'll feel the same after a week or two of the ol' chomper wired shut?
hardcore? pfffft...

It does sound somewhat forced. He at least admitted that he's an idiot though. I think Rollins handled things much differantly in Black Flag back in the day. Heckled and spit on by Nazi skins and sh** when they played Europe. These dipsh**s now resort to gang style beatdowns. Sad indeed

I wasn't even going to bother commenting on this whole scenario, why bother?
I've seen so much stupidity at metal concerts I stopped going years ago.
Fine example was the Pantera/White Zombie tour where at least five guys got kicked out for fighting. Why pay all that money to get tossed before the show even starts?
As for this guy?
Whatever....words are cheap.
Apologize with a check, at the VERY least for the kids medical expenses.
If I were the kid I'd be going after the label.
They are liable for their acts.

Well, he hit his head, so naturally he had to stomp the kid out of self-defense. Dumbass.
And the guitarist that joined in, what's his excuse? He didn't seem to hit his head off of anything.
It's sad that the kid likes them so much that he would actually accept the apology.

That's some fvcking bullsh!t, dude. Does he seriously think apologizing to the kid is gonna make things right? I agree with Hellrat; he's accepted the apology now but I'll bet he's not gonna be feeling that way for much longer.
As for the whole issue, I think it's really pathetic. If you didn't want your fans trying to interact with you, then don't suck as bad and make more money.. Then maybe... just MAYBE you'll be able to play at a bigger venue where fans won't be able to make physical contact with you.
Who the fvck is this band anyways? I've heard of a lot of bands, especially hardcore ones with the whole scene fad around and me being so young... but who the sh!t are these guys. They fvcking suck the shaft, big time.
"Oh yeah uhh, I hit my head and don't remember anything but I remembered enough to realize I did something wrong and apologize to the kid after the show." This apology is so staged, it's not even funny.
What a fvcking idiot. Karma's gonna bite this guy in the a$$ so hard. xD
