Finnish heavy metal band Children Of Bodom has revealed that producer Matt Hyde, who has previously worked with Hatebreed and Monster Magnet, is working with them on their new studio album, which currently remains untitled. The band has also finished recording the drums for the record. A message from drummer Jaska Raatikainen reads as follows:
"Ok folks, I´m done with my drum recordings. I need to do couple covers tomorrow morning but that´s always easy and fun. Recordings for me went good and I´m super excited about the new songs. They ARE killer. I´m sure you will love the new material. And yes, there´s gonna be nine new tracks on the album. That shouldn´t be a suprise... :-) Later I´m gonna add some videos from recording my drums."

They've already done WAY too many covers though dude...enough is enough. Covering other people's work doesn't take much talent. Besides, you'd think they would've got the "cover bug" out of them with their entire covers album. They've been doing increasingly more covers and less original material...which in my eyes doesn't look very good on the band at all. I love Bodom...not covers of sh!tty songs.
This post has the word cover far too many times. -_-

Knowing how Jaska speaks english it's impossible to say if he was talking about doing cover songs or if he just used the word for retakes, overdubs, fills etc.
In any case, I think the COB / BLS tour is an idiotic idea. If COB needs anything, it's time off to focus on the new record so we don't get Blooddrunk Part II. Blooddrunk definitely sounded like a "hey, let's drop by at the studio to record some-kinda-something".

Sounds like they're got a solid grasp on this album. Blooddrunk was a step up from AYDY, but nowhere near Hatebreeder, Follow the Reaper or Hatecrew Deathroll. Those 3 are untouchable.
I also hope this isn't Blooddrunk part II. But, i'm sure it will sound more like Blooddrunk than it will any previous album. Still have relatively high hopes, but not expecting their best-to-date.
