I don't think anyone who posted here negatively has ever actually attended scene fest. Almost every place downtown could conceiveably host a band or musician opens its doors to local artists who've registered. There are so many venues open that each band gets to play a complete set. Its a pretty wide variety, last time I went there was everything from reggae to country to keyboard rock to punk to heavy metal. I thought it was a good chance to go see some bands I haven't heard of before and experiment with types of music I wouldn't have normally bothered to see live. It's a good way for local musicians to get their faces out there, a good way to meet new people and see new things and other than that its a great excuse to spend an entire day partying in the street.
