falleninkorn: Nobody liked their last two albums. Not even Korn. The reason why people are still listening is because they were formerly fans of Korn and are hopeful that Korn will someday regain their staus among the ranks of the cutting edge artists on the scene. Sadly, this track is proof that you never really miss it until it's gone. I sympatize for people like you who get offended when others express their opinions. Accept it for what it is and move on. the rest of the world has.

^^^^Are you out of your mind comparing Slayer to Korn. Your outta your mind. Slayer is one of the originol thrash metal leaders. What Korn was Nu-Metal pioneers. Sh it thats nothing to be proud of. Look whats come of that scene compared to what became of Slayers scene. Sorry son you need to rethink what your trying to say.

I'm just saying that it's kind of hypocritical don't ya think? You ( or maybe not you) bash on Korn for making music that is so out-dated, but Slayer does the same thing. They're out-dated too. I used to love both bands a lot. I have about 7 Slayer albums and 5 Korn albums. But after a while, it's the same stuff. I can't even look forward to a new album because it sounds like the last one.

#31, while I respect Slayer for what they've done and what they stand for tremendously...I don't enjoy one single Slayer song. It all sounds the same to me too. Kerry King is simply amazing though, you'd have to be retarded not to respect the mans ability whether you enjoy Slayer or not.

Wow. I'm surprised people are talking bad about Slayer in a thread about Korn.
Not sure how you could listen to Angel of Death and then Black Magic and say they sound the same... Or The AntiChrist and Read Between The Lies. Or Dead Skin Mask and Jesus Saves. Or Disciple and Hell Awaits. Or World Painted Blood and Stain of Mind.

#36 I understand. They are different songs and everyone has different songs and song titles. I mean Blind from Korn doesn't sound like Freak on a Leash. But some bands can do it better. If a Slayer song was playing on the radio, it would take me a minute or two to finally realize which song it is. But some songs do stand out too. I dont know man. I'm just bored and rambling.

ya ES, these fellers dmasa and trendkill are right on...
hannemann fvcking OWNS king in musicianship and (to my mind) songwriting...
kerry had a somewhat 'unique' (to be eh...diplomatic?)lead style for a period that never really evolved....cool for a while but....
and anyone who's seen slayer live a bunch KNOWS that jeff fvcking NAILS his leads, while kerry flails to replicate his own recorded screechy efforts....
i think its kind of crap that king is so often miscredited as the guitar hero of slayer by many....but something tells me ol' jeff would have it no other way....that dude likes to work in the shadows
starting with diabolus, slayer does start sounding redundant....a lot of recycled riffs and arrangements----but hell, recycled SLAYER is a hell of a lot better than this stale Kornmeal, eh???

Fo - Sho. I have a sneaking suspicion that ES hasn't heard a Hanneman song (and really listened to it) and thus feels as though all (KK) Slayer sounds the same. To his credit, the songs Kerry penned do sound similar. But, stating that Raining Blood and GHUA sound the same is like saying that all white people look alike. lol.

Jeff's whammy solo in World Painted Blood sound crap on the cd. But live it sounds amazing.
I sometimes wonder why then never take there sunglasses off.
Maybe they are constantly baked and make whislte noises with their guitars for solos.
No disrespect to the band but they arn't very good at solo's.

true enough dudes...true enough
there's a lot of shall we say.....groaning and slurred speech in a lot of them solos, eh??
well, jeff still blows doors on the beard regardless....in my surly times i've been known to refer to king as a 'screeching stage prop'....but, i don't feel quite that beligerent yet today
what is funny, but kinda sad for ol Jonny D. Kornhole and the Cobb Knobblers is that as soon as someone said SLAYER, everybody done fergot about 'em....poor dudes ;)

A lot of moaning and complaining in here...
What people forget is that this album was recorded straight to tape and didn't have any help from pro tools etc. They didn't add bits here and there, they basically recorded the song from start to finish.
A lot of bands couldn't even do that nowadays because they rely so heavily on help from pro tools and other editing software.
61. writes:
Meh: Who in the fvck are you trying to bullsh1t? You can't find a studio that doesn't use pro-tools or a form of it anywhere and you'd be hard pressed to find one that still uses and is set up to record analog. Furthermore, your theory of bands that rely so heavily on editing tools is an old and tired assed excuse for analog engineers who refuse to keep up with technology. Lets face it. We can record on wax bolts if we want to, but why would you? Everybody records songs start to finish. That means absolutely nothing. Please don't try to say that they recoded this live as one peice in one take, because if you do you're full of sh1t.

@ Blindgreed1: Lol! you being on this thread = Epic Fail...
It's obvious you're just a hater that's trolling on threads of bands you don't like. Who are you to say what KoRn can and cannot do?
In reply to: "Please don't try to say that they recoded this live as one peice in one take, because if you do you're full of sh1t"
Oh... so did you watch them record it then? Do you know more than the rest of us? I think not! Seems you're full of sh**!
Run along now, and listen to your Black Death Viking Troll Vomit Screamo Emo Metal!
@ Demise: They didn't use pro tools because they wanted to go back to the way they recorder their 1st 2 records (without pro tools). They wanted that old school vibe to the album.
@ Everyone: Don't judge this song on how the album will be. I've just heard a new song off the album called "The Past" and it's much better than this single.

Meh: 1). My brother is a sound engineer for Korn dumbarse. So in essence, yes, I probably DO know more about it than the rest of you. 2). You can hear that it's not one take because there's 2 tracks of JD in the mix on the chorus. One would not have to be at the studio to hear that nor know that he can't sing 2 parts at the same time unless he cloned himself. Maybe you are the one who should run along and check your fact before you start spewing at the mouth.

Meh: Yes he is, so I guess you really can't call me a hater since they support him and i've spent a lot of time with all of them over the last 10 years or so. Thanks for the concern, but actually I do have a cool job and I make a lot of money doing it, so luck really isn't involved. Good luck bullsh1tting people on other websites. Cheers!

i can see y alot of ppl dont like korn... i get it if its hard for ppl to tell one song from one song but you dont have to get mad at the band for it... but korn has alot of heart and alot of love for what they do.. if it wasn't for korn i would not have made it pass highschool... i can see what korn is going for in this song and i liked it and i hope to see more of them in the years to come

Can I have ONE just one god damn Korn post where you people aren't flaming each other and the band? I mean honestly? I like it. Korn's always had a special place in my heart. They introduced A LOT of people to the "real metal" they're listening to now and honestly they connect with a lot of people on an emotional level. SO you don't like it. You don't like their music. Then please stop flaming them and their fans and just move on.
