Testament and Lamb of God To Co-Headline Phillipines' Pulp Summer Slam 10 Festival

TESTAMENT has announced their first trip to The Phillipines to appear at the “Pulp Summer Slam 10” taking place on April 17th, 2010 at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City. TESTAMENT will be co-headlining the festival with Lamb of God. The Pulp Summer Slam Festival has become the largest metal festival in the Philippines today. One of the hallmarks of the Pulp Summer Slam 10 is the unbelievable ticket price of only $6.50 US which equates to 300 Philippine Pesos. Included with price of admission are sodas, beer, pizza, and free cell load.
TESTAMENT front man Chuck Billy commented on the bands upcoming trip to the Philippines, “We have played countless venues all over the world, but this is the first time ever that TESTAMENT will be playing in the Philippines. It is an honor for us to be bringing metal to a country that does not normally have many metal shows and we are stoked to be co-headlining alongside our friends in Lamb of God. People of the Philippines get ready to get Into the Pit with TESTAMENT.”

ALL SHOW ORGANIZERS SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS AND DO THE SAME. IM SURE IT WOULD BE COST MORE IN AMERICA, BUT LOOK AT THIS AND SEE HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE. WE PAY SO DAMN MUCH TO GET IN SOME SHOWS AND STILL HAVE TO FORK OUT ANOTHER WAD OF CASH JUST TO GET A DRINK AND SOMETHING TO EAT.

BUT, metallers have it better than many....Exodus, Testament and Megadeth`for under 40 bucks? Not too bad!
but then there's the $6 3.5% beers to contend with, and better make sure to eat BEFOREhand...
But compare metal (NOT f***ing capitalist metalli-ca-ca) to prices for concerts of other 'popular' genres....we're still gettin some deals
Now, once yer all done with your Phillipino vacation boys, why don't you all come back to the States where you belong....AND DO IT AGAIN, ALL OVER THE HOMELAND!!!!

branded: i'm with u on that man!! BUT think about it, MAYBE the most expensive show for a metal concert MIGHT b $100, TOPS and yet, f***ing hax like poppy singers and rappers cost MORE than THAT price just for a crappy seat all the way in the back basically inside the sh**filled bathrms.

Not only are the ticket prices so prohibative, along with re-cock-ulous food & drink prices, most concerts/packages are outdoors. Fair skinned whiteys like me are not big fans of baking in the fu(king sun all day....shows should be cheaper AND indoors.....crank up the g0ddamn AC!

Fact: Only 23% of the 30 local bands performing are metal. The Pulp summerslam music festival has always been a mix of mainstream pop rock (Bamboo,6cyclemind lol), emo,nu metal, jazz, funk, and alternative bands.. Spare the non-pinoys here this bullsh** that this "large metalfest" event. Metal scene in the Philippines is still very much small and underground.
