Onslaught Speaks On Rock Area Festival

British thrash metal legends Onslaught has checked in with a report on Germany's Rock Area Festival, after the band recently performed at the event. The message reads as follows:

"Hi Ladies / Lunatics

"Just got back from a gargantuan but sunny drive from Germany, only to be welcomed by the fucking English rain.

"I am somewhat lost for words about this festival because it was simply breathtaking. We have had the honour to play at so many great festivals in stunning settings but this really did eclipse them all in my opinion.

"The festival was held at a place called Loreley in Germany on the banks of the Rhine in an old amphitheatre. It is we were told, one of the countries most beautiful locations and they're not wrong. Fuckin stunning..!!!!

"And the festival was mighty awesome too, difficult for 'Circle Pits' due to the stepped amphitheatre, so it was pretty much headbanging all the way but that did not detract from the show. Great to see so many of our German brothers / sisters there, a real kick ass show ensued.

Onslaught set list:
'Killing Peace'
'Let There Be Death'
'Angels Of Death'
'Destroyer Of Worlds'
'Flame Of The Antichrist'
'Metal Forces'
'Fight With The Beast'
'Planting Seeds Of Hate'
'Demoniac'
'Thermonuclear Devastation'
'Burn'
'Power From Hell'

"Bizarrely enough after all these years, for one reason or another, this was the first time Onslaught and KREATOR had actually shared a stage, Mille and the boys delivered a real cool performance which was nice to see. And another first for Onslaught on the weekend was meeting up with the BOLT THROWER guys, what a cool bunch of people they are. Shame we didn't get to sink lots of German lager together, but schedules did not allow... next time guys ;)

"Anyway, they delivered a bonecrushingly heavy set to close the festival and close what was a killer weekend for us. Can't wait for Germany in November.

"Thrash motherfuckers!"
