Polish death metal outfit Decapitated has announced that Kerim "Krimh" Lechner, of Thorns Of Ivory fame, is now the band's new permanent drummer. He replaces Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka, who passed away in late 2007 after the band suffered a serious accident on the road.

It sucks that Decapitated won't have Vitek any more, and at first glance it would seem disrespectful, but on the other hand I think Vitek would have wanted the band to go on. After all, it was Vogg's band as well. And it's not like albums and shows won't be dedicated to Vitek, either. They'll pay their dues.

R.I.P. Vitek, and get well soon, Covan.
