yeah. right after Trivium and machine head toured with lamb of god and gojira, they ran over to Arch enemy and did that whole "black crusade" thing. Missed that, because I had already seen triv and MH, didnt like trivium, and wasnt that mbig of a MH fan yet, and Arch enemy didnt excite me altogether to much.
Oh, yeah, and I was completely broke. :P
I'll give the new album a thumbs up for the simple fact that it manufactured one song I REAALLY like, "Down from the Sky", and a bunch of songs I dont immediately hate, so, being a trivium hater...good job kids.
They're still gay though.

I've seen trivium live a couple of times now, and they don't really do much for me... I like Ascendancy, and don't mind the Crusade as much as some people do, their first album was completely meh, and Shogun was a better effort by them.
But yeah, Heafy didn't have much personality on stage, and neither guitarist does much either. So all in all... Decent to listen to on a stereo, but nothing spectacular live.

At risk of being flamed for this, but i think Shogun was a pretty good effort from trivium, especially after the crusade. I actually like a fair amount of songs on the record. Heaven shall burn are awesome, so its gonna come down to how much shogun has tipped the scales on my stance with trivium for me.
