I don't think Sharon has any control over what Sabbath does to be fair. Plus there's (surprisingly) still alot of metal fans, myself included, who don't own this album. The only Sabbath I have is the two disc Best Of and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Now playing: Iron Maiden - Remember Tomorrow (Live at The Rainbow)

I got all of Ozzy's solo stuff except that live album where it was only Black Sabbath songs. When I win the lottery I'll buy all of the Ozzy era Sabbath and probably the Dio era too.
Now playing: Iron Maiden - Phantom Of The Opera (Live at The Rainbow, guess what DVD I'm watching :P)

It sure is. I've noticed recently when comparing the two's latter work, that Di'Anno actually has a stronger voice than d***inson in a way. In alot of cases, Bruce's voice seems to bottle out quite a bit.
I shall have to check those albums out. Master Of Reality is the one with Children Of The Grave isn't it? That song rules so hard!

Oh hell, dude. Master of Reality is one of my all time favorites. VERY much worth picking it up, Oz.
As for Paul and Bruce, Paul has a raw, rougher quality to his vocals which I've always kinda liked. Lemmy, Matt Pike, Pepper Keenan, Bon Scott, JD Cronise from The Sword. These are all singers I wouldn't list as very well trained, but they have an authority or power to their singing that might stem from the reason they aren't so refined. Like the flaws in their singing actually add to the music, giving it more personality, instead of detracting. Bruce though. I can't explain how he just makes Maiden the force they are for me. It's definately the sum of all parts, but with his operatic voice soaring over the machine gun riffs. He just blows me away live. God what a great band. LOL
Maiden just rules, plain and simple.

I'm kinda with Kali here. I don't see how Paranoid can be improved upon. Sometimes the fact that an album is unpolished makes it what it is. I know lots of bands have done this, some of my favorites included, as a way to generate some cash without putting out a new album. And sometimes in spite of putting out a new album. Nevertheless, all the extras in this one kinda make me want to buy it where I've passed up all my favorite bands' previous re-issues so far.

How can one be sick of Ironman and Paranoid??
Those are the songs that put Sabbath as the God's of Metal (amongst many other songs as well).
A TRUE Sabbath fan, can never get sick of any songs they put out.
My personal favorite is "Fairies Wear Boots", "Megalomania" and the list goes on and on...
