Kazaa Counter-Sues Labels
Internet file sharing company Kazaa have lauched a countersuit against those music and movie companies who are taking action against them, in an effort to prevent them from engaging in what they feel is copyright infringement. Kazaa’s parent company, Sharman Network, claim in their suit that these companies are guilty of copyright misuse, monopolization, and deceptive acts and practices.
No one can argue that many labels are run by crooks and practice predatory an monopolistic tactices, but I don't think Kazaa has the moral high-ground to go suing them at this point. Maybe they have some spare cash to blow on lawyers so that they'll have less for the recording industry to take when it shuts them down...
