Rolling Stone Previews Lamb of God's "Wrath"

Rolling Stone has previewed Lamb of God's upcoming full-length album, "Wrath," going in depth and talking to the band about some of the songs in particular. Here's an excerpt:
“We were learning more about what we would do differently next time than about what we could do with that record,” [Chris] Adler said. “The goal for me this time was to make a straight-up, heavy metal, thrash record that doesn’t rely on any studio magic.”
Regarding the album’s closing track and the longest in the band’s career, “Reclamation,” Rolling Stone calls it "progressive and downright apocalyptic." The song, which Blythe cites as his favorite on the album, was originally slated to be an instrumental.
“It’s about how we’re destroying ourselves and the world around us, and that sooner or later, the tipping point will be reached,” Adler said. “The message in that song is just so great that it was really important to have that on the record.”
Wrath is due out on February 24th on Epic Records.

I'm fan of this band. I really enjoyed their first two releases and Sacrament wasn't bad either. Sacrament showed a progression in Randy's singing which was the right step to make. After hearing that one song on the album it didn't really impress me. Sure the singing was different from Randy and it was good the music hasn't evolved. I'm very interested to hear this long and "progressive" song. Hopefully the album is good. If this album is disapointing I think they will lose a lot of fans.

hmmm... If it's anything like Sacrament, I'll be extremely disappointed!!!
Porcupine Tree Fan hit the nail on the head, if their latest doesn't meet everyone's expectations, they'll more than likely lose a whole heap of fans. I for one am not such a fan now as I was on Ashes of the Wake's release.

Despite Sacrament being kind of lackluster to me, I'm kind of excited to see what LOG will do on this new record.
