Note that all Myles said was he won't be singing "for Led Zeppelin." We already know from statements Jones, Page (through his management) and recently Plant made that the new Bonham/Jones/Page project will not use the name Led Zeppelin. So, it's entirely possible that Kennedy will sing with those three for their new band. Remember no member of Led Zeppelin has EVER said they would tour without Robert Plant. It's entirely a myth created by the media.

Or the guy from "The Answer". Watch their performance on David Letterman. The singer has not only the voice, but also the stage performance and energy down. everyone I've shown the clip to has instantly thought "robert Plant but younger and not on acid" I think the vid is actually on MU, just search "THE ANSWER", it should be the first article.

I'm so happy this alter bridge guy is not gonna have the spot...

Good because that guy from Alter Bridge actually sucks. They should get either Adrian "Covan" Kowanek (Decapitated), Denis "Snake" BĂ©langer (Voivod), Tim "Reaper" Owens, Paul Di'Anno (ex-Iron Maiden) or Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses). Wouldn't that be cool?

To post 5:

No, I don't think it would be cool if any one of those guys would join Led Zeppelin. Definitely not Axl Rose.

Yeah, I must agree with Chazz and Blindgreed1...

Jeffereson sounds like a complete moron... Axl Rose... Paul Di'anno... Ripper Owens...?
Have you ever even heard a f^ckin Zeppelin song..?
None of those singers would sound good singing any Zeppelin tunes... even with their own bands... much less, on stage with Page, Jones and Bonham...!!

Godlike, singers like Axl Rose, Paul Di'anno and others I mentioned were just suggestions. Just because I'm making suggestions doesn't mean I'm a moron.

And of course, I've heard of a Led Zeppelin song.

Jefferson - OK, then it seems that you need to spend some time listening to several Zeppelin songs..., and afterwards, sit down and listen to songs that are sang by the singers you mentioned...

After youve listened to all of them... then close your eyes and imagine how ridiculous it would sound to have any of them sing a Zeppelin song..!!

Myles Kennedy would actually be a great fit... perhaps if your head wasnt stuck in your anal cavity you wouldve realized this and not made yourself look like a moron for posting that gibberish.!

Suggestions for someone singing in place of Robert Plant that make sense....

Myles Kennedy
Lenny Wolf - Stone Fury , Kingdom Come
David King - Flogging Molly, Fastway
the singer for The Answer...as mentioned in post #3...and I agreed with in post #4

First thoughts, and yeah they are c*** rock singers, but...
David Coverdale from Whitesnake, Jack Russell from Great White or Miljenko Matijevic from Steelheart.
All have proven they can belt out a Led Zeppelin tune. Hell, I'd even say bring Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart along. They do great with harmonizing. And for the nay-sayers, yeah you might not like these singers other projects, but they could definately do justice to Zep. I would prefer this line-up not try to "modernize" or change the music in anyway. Keep it true to the original sound.

Leave it to Godlike. Lenny Wolf, forgot about Kingdom Come. Good call. And while Im a metal guy through and through, I do appreciate Myles Kennedy. For anyone who might not agree, I say listen to the song Blackbird from Alter Bridge's latest album of the same name. Very heartfelt song, but stays ballsy without being too ballad-esque. Im not sure he could manage that high range alot of Zep songs have. Im not saying he couldnt pull off many of their songs though. Also, Dave King, while not a huge name, might have the chops to pull it off. Will check out The Answer on myspace as I have not heard them yet. The Question is one of my favorite superheroes, so maybe the The Answer will catch my ear :)

Jefferson: The fact that you made those suggestions doesn't make you a moron (although i'm sure some would disagree), the fact that you have no idea what (or who for that matter) your talking about did.

godlike: I totally forgot about Lenny Wolf too. lol. Just one more thing to point out about our friend Jefferson though: " And of course, I've heard of a Led Zeppelin song." indicates the singular form of song. lol.

Listened to 5 songs from The Answer, plus saw the Letterman Vid. That dude wants to BE Robert Plant, with a little bit of Joe c***er spazziness, and some Chris Robinson for good measure. All in all, I think he could do it. A Little southern revival blues rock never hurt nobody :)

You hit the nail on the head with your description of him too... .hahhaha
"That dude wants to BE Robert Plant, with a little bit of Joe c***er spazziness, and some Chris Robinson for good measure"...... Exactly..!!
I hadnt even thought of the Joe C^cker comparison... but yeah... its there ;-)

As for the Dave King suggestion... that stems from being a HUGE Fastway fan from the old days... Not so sure of the whole Flogging Molly thing... to me it seems kinda strange that they guy absolutely refuses to do any reunions of Fastway... but then again, Ive seen all the old Fastway videos, and they kinda make him look a little feminine... OK...ALOT feminine..!!!

Bg1 - yeah the whole " I've heard of a Led Zeppelin song."..... that left me ROFLMAO...!!!!

"Say What you Will" was one of the first riffs I learned, that and "Fight the Good Fight" by Triumph. Well, aside from the whole catalogue of Sabbath tunes, but you get where I'm coming from :)

What a great way to start playing... Fastway, Triumph and Sabbath...!!
First tunes I learned, besides Iron Man, Paranoid, Smoke on the Water and Cat Scratch Fever, were Purple Haze and Magic Man... But then again, that was in the latter part of the 70s.... and those tunes hadnt become oldies yet ;-)
