To a and diamond Oz,
I'm a daily visitor of this site since last year and I live here in Nueva Ecija at the heartland of the Philippines. I'll shake heaven and hell (assuming such myths exist) to get to Manila to see this Brazilian heavies. Too bad it's no longer in the line-up I came to know, love and revere.

Hi guys im from Marikina,Philippines. is it confirmed?some people say its not true that they're coming. I've checked the Band's Official Site but no sign of tour in Manila. If the rumor that Sepultura is coming here in Philippines, 2 Third World Country will collide ! and hell yeah, would definitely take the opportunity to see them live!!!

^we had a guy from beijing china on here a few days ago, but i cant remember what thread he was on. All i know is, at the time, it blew my mind, cause i thought we were only gonna be getting people in Europe/North America and the Australia area, and here was some guy from china with a profile and an avatar and everything! Holy sh**. Now we have guys from Phillip-land too reading the site.
Coincidentally, i had just watched "Gloabl Metal" by Sam Dunn before all these extreme eastern metal heads started popping up on the site. :b
Now Playing: Iron Maiden- Fear of The Dark

ei i am also from the Philippines and i actually received a text message from a friend (JC of End of Man) that Sepultura will play here and i tried browsing through google to check if indeed it is confirmed... Yeah if only they still had that line up when they made Schizophrenia... it would be nice. Anyways, let's just see. Ü

Nice to see that our country is opening up to other musical genres. Only recently, Rihanna and Chris Brown came along to perform, and now Christopher Cross is scheduled to play here. But yeah, it sure is hella more fun to have Sepultura around!
Wish the Cavaleras were still part of the band, though.

it sucks that my beloved sepultura is no longer working with max cavalera. the only thing that i hate with green is the fact that he cant sing well like cavalera does... now that sepultura is going here in philippines and needs temporary front man... ill do the volunteer... ive been covering their album roots with my band for almost 4yrs now so i think i cn do it well... special thanks to all metal families here in pangasinan and baguio especially cutthroat family

just confirmed it on an add last night it's a part of the annual Red horse musiklaban, I kept on hearing sepultura since saturday morning, I thought it was somekinda joke. good to hear it, no big foreign metal bands came to vist Pinas since Death Angel (wait a sec, most of em are filipino too.. hehehe). And thanks for this post here! Philippines has a bit of a metal scene growing since mid 90s (well, but not fast enough) so Sepulturas coming serves as a big compliment somehow. I hope the front acts for the main show don't kill the thrill I think most of em are not even metal. I wish they could pick some guys from the underground scene where philippine metal scene really is.

thank you for the welcome, brothers. the metal scene in Manila and all over the Philippines has been around for a very long time, many artists are themselves surprised to know they have a huge following here. i'm proud to say im part of the earlier wave. In my 30s now, have cut my hair a looong time ago, guitars gathering dust, have a corporate job, but am still a metal head through and through. sepultura coming over to our shores is really a deram come true, once just a fantasy, now a reality. fine if you can't get over the fact that the cavalera brothers are no longer in the band, but that's already ancient history. this is SEPUL--f***en'--TURA my friends! its like a once-in-a-lieftime experience, to finally hear the music live, being played right in front of you, by the only authority on sepultura--sepultura itself. hope the "younger" fans get it too. \m/

the metal scene in the philippines has been around since the 80s. bands like discant-x, death after birth, iconoclast, bloodshedd, end of man, resurrected and knk. since way back, a lot of filipino bands have been listening to sepultura and many covers have been played by them even from the morbid visions album. having them play here (even if the original line-up has long gone) its a good opportunity for the younger filipino metal heads to experience sepultura's music. i wasn't able to attend though, had to attend the end of man launch.
