Gojira Posts New Video "Vacuity" Online For Streaming

Prog-metal colossus Gojira have finally unleashed the video for "Vacuity," the first single for their skull-crushing new album The Way of All Flesh. Filmed by directors Julien Mokrani and Samuel Bodin with a RED video camera (the type used by Peter Jackson in the Lord of the Rings series,) "Vacuity" was described by guitarist/vocalist Joseph Duplantier to UK's Rock Sound magazine as being "about the Buddhist meaning of the word which is emptiness not nothingness, the ultimate presence. It was very hard to picture that concept in a video so we told the story of a girl carrying her own casket as the whole album is about facing your death and your pain."

Well, if you check out the lyrics of many of the other songs on the album you'll see their environmentalist rhetoric still has a strong presence. Love the music and this video, though!

Haven't heard anything from the new CD until this. I'm insanely impressed. These guys are one of the constant rotations in my CD player ever since I picked up "From Mars To Sirius".

Now playing: Gojira - "Ocean Planet"
