Metallica Tops The U.K. Album Charts

Metallica has shot straight to the number one spot on the British album charts with their latest effort, "Death Magnetic." Apparantly the public were expecting either Metallica or Scottish indie band Glasvegas to take the top spot although Glasvegas member James Allan said he never expected to beat the heavy metal legends. "Death Magnetic" received an early release in the United Kingdom, coming out on Wednesday the 10th instead of the planned date of Friday the 12th. It has also debuted at Number 3 in the Republic Of Ireland.
