Metallica Plans Simultaneous Release of "Death Magnetic" As CD and For Guitar Hero

Metallica is planning a simultaneous release "Death Magnetic" the album and as downloadable content for Guitar Hero. Anytime after 2:00 AM PDT on Friday, September 12, you can get "Death Magnetic" for Guitar Hero III at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for a cost of 1,440 Microsoft Points and in the Playstation store for PS3 at a cost of $17.99.

Each download contains two different versions of "Suicide & Redemption." One version is James only solo, and the other is Kirk only solo. The download will be forward compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour when it comes out in October.

In related news, Best Buy is offering a special deal for the "Death Magnetic" CD/Guitar Hero III Bundle
Along with the new CD where you will given a code to download the entire album for Guitar Hero III on Xbox 360.

Metallica is marketing the HELLLLL outta this album, and i think it's a great idea for them. People are going to have something to criticize REGARDLESS...why not make assloads of money off it.
