Anthrax Bassist Frankie Bello Has Bass Stolen

Anthrax bassist Frankie Bello has reported that his bass guitar has been stolen. A statement reads as follows:


"Frank Bello plays a signature series Frank Bello "Angry Man" bass by Fender (pictured here).

"Frank has played this model bass for several years in both Anthrax and Helmet.

"This bass is ONLY OFFERED FOR SALE IN BLACK FINISH ON AN ALDER BODY.

"THE STOLEN BASS IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND, NATURAL ASH FINISH WITH BLACK BODY BINDING, and is the ONLY one of this type currently in existence, PERIOD. Above is a photo of Frank playing the bass during some rehearsal/demo recording, courtesy of Chad Lee and www.nonelouder.com ( Thanks CHAD! ):

"THE STOLEN BASS HAS SERIAL NUMBER CN 00972 and as I have said, is the ONLY "Angry Man" bass made in this finish and of this type of wood ( natural ash ). If it is seen anyplace, there is no chance that someone had it made or that it was purchased ( legitimately ) someplace, IT IS STOLEN and being sought.

"If this instrument is located, please send word to the Anthrax MySpace page."

Both victims so far have been names of lethal items. "Iron Maiden"..."Anthrax"
