Well funny story. Everyone I know that plays either guitar hero or rock band does in fact play a real instrument. Maybe its just because I am into the music scene or something totally different. (Pot and guitar go together) We all like to play it because its fun to escape the difficulties of learning a song on a real guitar and just screw around with your friends, toss back a few beers and play guitar hero.

i agree with b.bristowe. i mean it is true that you should pick up and instrument and fiddle with that for hours than trying to master a game for hours, however a lot of my friends that play it are indeed actual musicians. like it has been mentioned before, it's just an escape and something completely fun to f*** around with with your friends.

i agree with b.bristowe. however, alot of people i know that play it dont play any insterments, and then wen ever i play real guitar in front of them there like, i bet id be able to to that, and im like "how so" and they say, "becaseu i can play expert on guitar hero" those people piss me off and i see to many of them.

I myself play Guitar Hero once in a while for entertainment purposes only. Then I get serious and play my real guitar. This new GH4 is getting out of hands though. It's becoming too realistic. I mean, if your going to pay nearly $200 for a video game, might as well buy a $100 guitar and a $75 mini-amp and play any song you want while expressing your thoughts & feelings.
