Saxon frontman Biff Byford has posted the following blog online:

"Just got to say, I’d like to thank John Jackson and Steve Strange for helping to hook us up.

Next day arrive in Rock im Park, another great festival on the club stage. This one’s even bigger, it’s a small sports stadium. We got the best place today because the god of rock threw down buckets of rain on our heads. With echoes of 'lets have a drink tomorrow' the last thing we said, the gig got under way with AIRBORNE - another great set. Got a call from Steve who I think is Lars (Ulrich)'s assistant - we should get together with the boys again which was cool."
