Between The Buried And Me To Film Live DVD
BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME have posted the following update:
“Ok…the rumours are true. We are going to be filming a live DVD on August 2nd in Nashville, TN. The show will be at Rocket Town…more info to come. We will be playing two sets (one ‘Colors’ set, and one ‘other songs’ set). Soon a website will be available for all of you to vote on which songs you want to hear and see for the second set. Lots of info to come! For our DVD show we are going to do a limited run of ‘Colors’ t-shirts. We want to do a shirt for each song (eight shirts total)…we want YOU to design these shirts for us. Send any ideas or art to btbamdvd@gmail.com. We are very excited to see what you all come up with!”

I saw them live and they were fairly dull...Bizzz your assessment was right on. Tommy Rogers is an intense stage presence and he's moving around like crazy, but everyone else is totally lifeless. They sound great but that doesn't always mean the show is great.

These guys live shows are totally amazing. Tommy Rogers is the frontman, and it's his job to entertain the crowd. He is brilliant at this since Paul and Dustie are just trying to hang on and nail all the radical rhythyms and sweeps they do. Dan Briggs on bass has his own deal going on, and Blake on drums can't really entertain the crowd visually. Everyone is different, but when I go to see Between the Buried and Me show, I'm not expecting a KISS stage presence or for them to look cool. There music is the most amazing thing I've heard come out of a modern artist and that's why I'm going to show. You can't close your eyes becuase someone is probably gonna knock you out, but you can't expect musicians of that caliber to worry about entertaining anyone visually when their music is so syncopated and just physically demanding. They can't jump around and shake their a$$ while playing "Backwards Marathon" or "Sun of Nothing".

Shevanel, I totally agree with you. the music is so demanding technically that it would be close to impossible to move like crazy without screwing up something important. but the intensity of it live more than compensate for a little bit less movement.
BTBAM is truly one of the most amazing bands I have heard in a long time and their music is worthy of passing through time.

This is awesome but all the footage live of them and concert reviews Ive seen talk about them just standing around, nailing each song in a lifeless manner, I hope they prove me wrong. Oh and the shirt idea is Effin' brilliant.
