horrible band, their tour bus should flip and save the rest of the world from hearing their feeble attemps to recapture the days when they were really good and not just pathetic old men who can't match today's metal bands......*note to metallica*: PLEASE DIE HORRIBLY!!....that is all
To metallicasuxdonkeydix I hope you get cancer you f*cking piece of sh*t!!!!!! What band is going to put out 4 records as good as Kill em all, RTL, MOP and Justice. No one! No f*cking Band, can you even play guitar you stupid f*cking idiot? Do you ANYTHING about the music industry. Do you know what it is to play in fromt of a quater million people? Your the stupidest idiot that ever lived!
Chill dudes, let's all sit back and relax, and try not to overly criticize now... it's ok to challenge people to be better, but to challenge their very existence? Now that may step over the line quite a bit. You know what, after the past 10 years of output that Metallica has done, which has left a lot to desire for some (including myself), but has had a few shining moments nonetheless, I'm actually quite optimistic of the new album. I heard a few riffs I've liked in these various blog videos they've been putting out, so it might be a pretty kick a$$ album after all. My message to the band is this, watch the lyrics guys. Use discretion, and challenge yourself to write something that has some real meaning. Beware of falling into Metal Cliche with the words that you say. That is all. \\m//
yeh sh** dudes i mean yeh metallica have done some shocking work of recient but no one can forget their awesome albums right up to black. if tiny minds cant except band evolution then they should listen to stuff they like, instead of criticizing other peoples work get off your asses and right some sh** for us all to critiize. no one deserves to die for releasing albums that some people dont like. i mean take inflames for instance listen to their first ever realeased song and compare it to any song of a sense of purpose" there is a perfect example of band evolution. keep it hard boys, but not that hard
I believe that if not for bands like Metallica, alot of the new bands wouldn't be here today. I think it's intresting that alot of the new bands that people like often say that Metallica was a major influence on them. I read ALOT of interviews and music magazines and it's intresting to read comments from someone who bashes Metallica, yet their favorite band worships Metallica. I don't believe that Metallica ever "sold-out". I believe that Metallica decided to try some different styles and use some of their own personal influences with some of the song writing on the last few albums. I believe that people grow and change. Things that I enjoyed 10 years ago, I may not enjoy as much today. Believe it or not, Metallica is human. Over time they have changed and grown. I believe that just because Metallica may not be the angry 23 year olds they once were, doesn't mean they can't play music anymore. They have already proven that they can write some of the best "Metal" ever. Most anyone will agree that Master of Puppets and/or ...And Justice for All are two of the greatest Metal Albums of all time. I'm not saying Metallica is perfect. I disagree with some of the choices they have made, but that doesn't mean I have to jump on some bandwagon and bash them every chance I get. I think alot of people do that. Like sheep, they kinda follow blindly and just get on whatever bandwagon suits them at the time without sitting down and actually listiening to a band for themselves. It's ok to not like Metallica. They don't need me or anyone trying to recruit new fans. LOL. I'm excited for them right now. They seem really focused and optomistic about their new album. I can't say that I will like it, but I'm going to at least listien to it before I make my desicion. It won't be Master of Puppets part 2, and I'm glad it's not. I'm anxious to hear something new from Metallica. If I want to hear Ride the Lightning, I'll pop in Ride the Lightning. I respect Metallica for being original, being themselves, and for being a huge influence on all of these great new bands. I may not always agree with how they do somethings, but that doesn't make them any less of a band or me any less of a fan. Now if they start writing with Britney Spears I may disown them though LOL. But until then, bring it on Metallica. Lets see what you got. S.D.M.F.
i love how the metallisheep always defend their has been gods. they say that people jump on the hate metallica bandwagon. what a joke!! its not a bandwagon, its just personal preferences as to who they like or dislike. since its a free, open forum, we, the metallica haters, are only expressing our opinions as to our dislike of metallica. just as the metalli-sheep have done in other threads about other bands on other sites as well as here. i, for one, didnt freak out when they changed their music, cut their hair, etc...its only when they flipped out on their fans when it was one of "their" inside people who leaked out he songs did i begin my utter hatred of metallica. i understand that as people age they tend to slow down their music, 100% understandable. every band changes up their music in 1 way or another. but as it stands metallica are has been wannabes, and they are at the very end of their careers. yes metallica are pioneers in the thrash genre, but they are also pioneers in how to destroy your band by turning on your fans!!! im not trying to fight with any1 on this 1!!
Im interested to hear the new album in full, some of the videos online sound sorta '90s era metallica, like a mixture of black and load, but a few of the riffs sound really promising, like real old school Lightning/puppets sound so Im not gonna start bashing the band because their not making ...justice part 2. I, like most saw Metallica as more a live band then recording band during the last 5-10 years and i dont think they'll ever write a thrash orientated album again, its been too long with the constant more rock oriantated music, and yes, St Anger is a piece of sh**, but after load and reload, garage days and s&m its was sorta promising, in that they were trying to write metal again, just unguided metal, so I'll wait till iv heard the full finished album before I write them off as has beens.
tour bus should flip with this no talent band and on top of these pathetic, p***y fans who like them....i will admit they were good up tp the black album but that was like 100 years ago.....try listening to something a little more original, or something with conviction or passion....don't think i don't know what i'm yalkin about ...i've been in the hardcore/metal/punk/grind scene for about 25 years...enough to know that bands like metallisuk should die & so should that idiot that critisized me...i know waaaaaay more than you.....die poser fool.....that is all
The guy above me hs been in the metal scene for 25 years? You are either a lying little per-pubecant teenager, or had a few too many stage divers land on your head.
Metallica - not as good as they once were but IMO Anger did show some promise. Their sound has changed so much that to bag their latest album would be premature.
Metallica's original importance and the thrash scene is often overlooked, since they helped inspire the Germans to start playing thrash, which gave metal bands like Kreator, Destruction, and Sodom. Some of Metallica's early albums were very impressive, and if they would have quit after Cliff Burton died, they would have been rememberd as a good and influential thrash band. However, since then, they have gone parading around like morons and ruined some of their legacy. So while Metallica wasn't necessarily the best or most influential thrash band, they still were good and influential, and to claim they weren't is plain ignorant.
Listen hahaha, I've been goin to shows since about 14 yrs old & now 39. I don't lie when it comes to music and if think sh**allica is any good now, then you the biggest horse's a$$ out there...go home to your sh**allica posters and listen to warrant like you're supposed to, d***.
I think metallica is going to be the suprise of the year, I dont know about you's out there but I'm looking forward to this new album, I just wished that it was released earlier. And to the person that was saying about the MetallicA poster and signs, those are from tours and "sh**" thay done up. For example the big metallica flag from ride the lighting, where would you think that came from, retard. Have a brain.....
brandedcfh420, I respect your comment. We both have very different opinions, but we do agree on some things. I believe Metallica should stop the "circus act" for one. Perhaps I take-up for them more than I should, but it's only because I grew up listiening to them for so many years. LOL. Touche with the "metallisheep" come back. Intresting point.
