Mahatma To Co-Headline Pulp Summer Slam With Darkest Hour
Korea's #1 thrash metal killing machine MAHATMA will be co-headlining this year's Pulp Summer Slam - the Philippine's biggest annual rock event - with DARKEST HOUR. Last year's Summer Slam had a total of 35,000 in attendance with Death Angel as the headliner. This year, the organizers are hoping to break last year's attendance by putting more foreign acts to the line up plus the Philippine's best rock/metal bands. With Mahatma and Darkest Hour as the headliners, the crowd will be treated to full metal assault with Darkest Hour's Americanized Gothenburg metal and Mahatma's 80's Bay Area inspired thrash metal. This is a certified headbanging galore and mosh inducing frenzy event. Summer Slam 8 will be held at Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Philippines on the 26th of April. Mahatma will also be headlining a pre-Summer Slam show on the 25th of April with some local metal bands from the Philippines. The venue and the official line up will be announced shortly, but the show is already confirmed.
The Philippine tour is in support of Mahatma's highly acclaimed sophomore album, "Perseverance." You can listen to some of the songs from the album on the band's MySpace.
