Crown the Lost have issued a new studio blog from the recording of their upcoming album "Blind Faith Loyalty":

"Renaldi's cabin fever has subsided, and we're onto the recording of guitars. The last two weekends have been devoted to cutting guitar tracks, with Joe and myself hunkered down in the control room while Watson sits there and nit-picks our playing. This is truly Joe's time to shine (excuse the apparent lameness) - he handles the rhythms for all of his songs (5) and three of my songs. We've always operated this way largely because of budget and time restraints, but for the glaring fact that Joe could play these songs upside-down in a sandbox and they'd still come out sounding tight.

"Perhaps the biggest coup of the past two weekends was being able to use Tim from Grave Desire's (aka 'The Manticore') JSX guitar head, which has provided quite the searing and rigid guitar tone. This is our first time using this head and the results speak for themselves - the guitars are pretty nasty sounding, even when playing some of our more melodic material. We're quite delighted as to how our songs our turning out with this guitar sound, namely "Finality," "Defame the Hypocrite" and the title track, all of which have emerged to be album highlights.

"At this juncture, we're 90% finished with guitars, then it's onto bass. Vocals will begin next weekend, which means Renaldi can no longer sit in the studio lounge on my computer, searching for videos on the Internet depicting people defecating into each other's mouths. Such videos have caused a major backlog on this very computer, causing yours truly to spend the bulk of his Sunday trying to download virus software to weed this stuff out. As they say - Renaldi will be Renaldi. The dude just doesn't quit....."
