Onslaught Guitarist Alan Jordan Quits
Guitarist Alan Jordan of the reactivated British thrashers ONSLAUGHT has released the following statement:
"It is with immediate effect that I will no longer be a part of ONSLAUGHT. I had the best part of three very happy years with the band and recorded what I considered to be a great album and DVD, both of which I'm very proud to be a part of."
"Some internal circumstances within ONSLAUGHT changed and certain ideas were moving in a very different direction to what I envisaged."
"I have no long-term plans at this moment in time, but would like to thank all the fans across the globe that I have met and spent time with. Respect to you all."
ONSLAUGHT released its first live DVD, "Live Polish Assault 2007", in July 2007 via Metal Mind Productions. The disc contains more than an hour of veritable thrash mayhem filmed during the band's gig on February 12, 2007 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland (see preview clip below). The DVD also includes an interview with guitarist Nige Rockett and vocalist Sy Keeler, bonus live video footage from the band's gigs in Japan and Holland, as also bonus audio tracks from the gig at Bristol Colston Hall in 1987 (featuring ONSLAUGHT's very first live performance of "Let There Be Rock")!
