Linkin Park Begin Working On 'Given Up' Video

LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington has posted the following message on his official web site:
"We are starting to shoot our new video for 'Given Up' and I think it's going to turn out really good. The band has decided to go with a live video and I think it's perfect for the song. We always do really big expensive videos and it's nice to take a break from that."
According to The Pulse of Radio, LINKIN PARK will offer fans attending its upcoming tour the chance to purchase a "Digital Souvenir Package" with their tickets, in which they will receive an audio download of the concert they attend, exclusive photos and a digital tour program. Co-frontman Mike Shinoda said in a recent conference call with reporters what makes the offering unique. "The best part about it, to me, is that our live mixer, our official mixer who mixes our show every night, you know, finishes his night with us, then goes back to his hotel or bus or backstage and mixes the show for you," he said. "It's intended to be played, you know, in your headphones and in your car, and it's done by our official guy."
Shinoda's partner on the mic, Chester Bennington, added that the recordings offer numerous possibilities for fans to trade and collect them. "For those who get this thing, you know, our sets change, we play songs maybe one night that we don't play the next, and so if you want to get those songs, you know, we encourage our fans to go on and trade them and kind of get to know each other and communicate and share and exchange things with each other, and this is one of those things that we would really like our fans to kind of do that with," he said.
LINKIN PARK will sport a brand new stage production when the band heads out on its North American tour, which begins on February 12 in Omaha, Nebraska.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA and CHIODOS will be the opening acts on the tour, which wraps up in mid-March.
LINKIN PARK's latest album, "Minutes to Midnight", was recently certified double platinum for sales of two million copies since its May 2007 release.

i know im guna get insulted 4 this but i like linkin park hybrid theory an meterora but this new piece of sh** is more than pathetic least they chose the heavyest song on the album 2 release as a single i guess - Just for the record i listen to all types of metal not just nu metal :)

Our local radio station DJ insulted their new song - "Bleed it Out" - saying it sounded some guys square dancing, or an old fashioned Hoe down...lol
I have to agree - Linkin Park is sh** - I did like Hybrid Theory, though. I was just discovering nu-metal back then...lol. Good thing I also already knew about Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
Good morning gents! I was thinking more posts would be here when I woke up. Broken face, you wont get bashed for that post. Its the b****es that call us emo for not likeing their favorite band.
Now playing- Dimmu Borgir/ Old mans child "Devils path" and "In the shades of life"
I like Linking Park too, what it's not a real park ? Oh really ? f*** ! I really thought it was a park, I love the great outside. What's a linking park ? Oh ! It has everything to do with the mechanism that flushes the toilet ! What ? Oh ! It's actually what's in the toilet after a number #2. Oh ! Then I know what's a linking park, I heard it on the radio and it made me go #2.
Congrats, I always thought that disposing of Emo fags paid better than that. Well I guess that the advantages are plentiful such as : 1- Great experience 2- Useful to society 3- Tons of fun 4- Tons of friends in the metal community 5- Countless bodies to feed your snake 6- Free tickets to a Slayer concert and finally : expiation of the anger within
Hails to that Red! *tosses you a shot of Jack* Speaking of snakes, I think my raise just may give me enough to finnaly get a ball python! I have since I was a little girl wanted one. My Mom gave me a big fat no on it and as an adult never was stable home wise for it. Now maybe the time.
to be honest i like some linkin park, What ive done i would have to say has inarguably good lyrics so whatever. The new album sucks but some of their old stuff.. Not real old like the stupid radio hits, but other songs are good.
Now playing: Lamb of God - Bootscraper
Well soon I will have a real computer up and the net. I just have to get it set up. It will be very weird typeing on a keyboard and not keypad. *LOL* Sent an email to the mighty Deathbringer about the myspace page. Should be o.k to post it, but do want to be sure.
Well Kalis just so you know, I look like anybody, I mean short brown hair, brown eyes, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, glasses, well I look like an intellectual, well I am. I'm Christian and not really into Satanism although I know it's not really about satan but more a way of life. So there you go, when I get a better photo on facebook I,ll let you know
Thats sort of funny because I sort of immagined you like that Red. Tall guys are great to hangout with! Not that ALL short men possess the short man complex and are a$$holes, but a great majority do. I am 5'10" myself and with boots 6' work boots and 6'2" with my off time boots 125 to 130lbs. I hate feeling any ground under me when I walk and have to wear heeled shoes after a fall I had on concrete stairs on my back. My boot heel fell off and down I went about 8 or 9 concret stairs. They were Hot Topic boots and almost sued. Then my divorce happened and had to go first, by the time that was done no longer cared. *shrugs* Only got bruised and cut some, but my back takes a beating anyway! Txmetalhead, you are welcome! :)

hey red chord, was post 12 directed towards me??
if it was i dont care anyways cuz i have to admit it was kinda funny and i dont give a sh*t if ppl bash linkin park. theyre not the only thing i listen to, and i dont expect everyone to have the same musical tastes.
and post 13, its actually Stinkin Fart.
Uh hu, we trust ya Tx. Haha! Seriousely I am too. Though I love everything about my job, but one thing: my fat, stinky, lazy and compulsive lieing piece of sh** coworker named James. That will one day be an entire myspace blog. I got interviewed by The Seattle Times news paper today about my work and Renton the town I live and work in. It was odd being the interviewee not the interviewer. Like I said, I love my job as an antiques merchandizer a ton and am greatful I found such a great job and lookin forward to my carrer as a journalist. This site helps that out and get a lot of laughs out of it along the way.

Why is all I see on this site bashing and other bullsh**. For the life of me, I DON'T GET IT!!! I am a true metal fan, indulging in the ferociousness of As I Lay Dying, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, UnEarth, and Shadows Fall, to the technicality and musicality of Linkin Park, Metallica, Korn, Iced Earth, and System of a Down. To listen to all you people bash bands because they release music that you don't like is laughable. You want to prove they suck, write a better song, and have more than 10 people that aren't related to you listen to it. Talent is talent, and unless you can do better, don't bring your sh** here and complain about bands that have put decades of hard work into their craft and had success.

I've read some funny posts in the past but this has to be the funniest from post 36 mudvayne_ca he says "indulging in the ferociousness of As I Lay Dying, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, UnEarth, and Shadows Fall, to the technicality and musicality of Linkin Park, Metallica, Korn" Halarious this coming from a Metalhead. I mean ferocious As I Lay Dying haha you need to listen to some Converge man! Also he points out technicality in Linkin Park's music seriously man head for the next Psyopus show. Anyway as for Linkin Park there music is laughable unless your 14 years old or have your ears clogged with ear wax. The only thing I can give them credit for is there artwork they did on the Meteora album, and saying that doesn't really credit there music. Wake up America!

funny how theblindinglight claims one metalcore band, As I Lay Dying isn't ferocious, but the other Metalcore band, Converge is. Listen to A Long March aka Beneath the Encasing Ashes by AILD to hear similar sh** vocals, that Converge has done 7 Albums. Their is nothing special about repeative screaming, its actually relativly dull, stagnant, consistant, and predictable.
What Mudvayne 36 was trying to say was that he likes Bands regardless of genre, just because he is defending LP doesn't mean their his favorite.
Now Playing As I Lay Dying "The Sound of Truth"
