Nightwish Nominated For Emma And Echo Awards

Nightwish have been nominated in five different categories for the Finnish "Emma" award, including Band Of The Year, Best Metal Album (Dark Passion Play), Best Album (Dark Passion Play), Song Of The Year (Amaranth), and Best Finnish Artist. The Emma-gala takes place on the 8th of March in Kulttuuritalo, Helsinki. The band has also been nominated for the German "Echo" award in the Rock/Alternative (international) category. The Echo award ceremony will take place on the 15th of February in Berlin.

I think that although the music is deserving of the recognition, the band do not. I swore nt to take sides over the Tarja split, but Bye Bye Beautiful was quite simply not necescary.
