Lordi Reveal More "Dark Floors" Details
More information about LORDI's upcoming horror film, "Dark Floors", can be found on the movie's newly launched official web site at this location.
"Dark Floors" will premiere at Oulu Energia Areena on February 6. The home of Kärpät, a Finnish National Hockey League team, will host an audience of 5,000 people who will also see LORDI's show. With its image as the film-friendly town up north, Oulu is the perfect choice for the premiere: "Dark Floors" was shot there last summer.
The Finnish national premiere for the film is Friday, February 8.
Finland's biggest-ever premiere is a co-operation with the Northern Film and Media Foundation POEM and Oulun Kärpät.
Based on an original idea of LORDI frontman Mr. Lordi and director Pete Riski, "Dark Floors" is a classic horror film expected to make it big internationally. The English-language film was made with UK actors. Members of LORDI star as monsters who chase a group of people in a hospital where everyone has died. LORDI's song "Beast Loose in Paradise" can be during the closing credits.
"Dark Floors" is directed by Pete Riski and produced by Markus Selin. The film is written by Pekka Lehtosaari. It all started in an interview where Mr. Lordi said he would like Selin to contact him to discuss his idea for a film.
Solar Films produced the film in cooperation with the Northern Film and Media Foundation POEM and the North Finland Film Commission (NFFC).

I too am currious but not for the same reason as this guy. Lordi is great i seen them at ozzfest in the fron row and can i say wow amazing. To those of you who havnt been able to experince lordi live you have to check them out there stage show was amazing and AMEN is the man he can tear that guitar up.

I too saw Lordi live and I have to agree with post #1. The only difference was that the 30 or so ppl that came with me started cursing at the band and yellin for them to get off the stage. Unfortuantly, all Lordi heard was noise, and took it to mean everybody wanted an encore or something. You know it's bad When the crowd starts Cheering for Static-x to come on stage so that your band can get off.
Regardless of thier pyro or whatnot, I just thought their whole performance was kind of silly and ridiculous.
Now playing: Behemoth- "Prometherion"

OMG it was quite hilarious. The crowd started chanting "STATIC-X, STATIC-X", but then I just started chanting "ANYTHING BUT LORDI, ANYTHING BUT LORDI". I made everyone in earshot get a good laugh, and I was just delighted. Too bad the band kept playing. f***en Bastards.
Now Playing: Bionic Jive- "I Shot Lucifer" ( for once, a decent Rap/ Metal-ish sounding band!)

Ahahahahahahaha! Oh man you just made me tear up a bit there! Hehehe BASTARD! Static-x is great live! Saw them when I was 17 and they stole the show at Rockfest 7 a fest put on by 101.1 Kufo in Portland. It was funny because Wayne and all maybe 5 feet of him stood up on a huge speaker and I swear he looked like a troll doll on top of a computer monitor. After the show I had a chance to meet the band and everyone, but Tripp was nice. Waynes beard is kinda wirey. Hahaha!

I like lordi, aside from the crazy make up they write some solid rock. Melody is there despite the grizzly bear vocals. They don't take themselves seriously unlike gwar and there lyrics and videos are hilarious. Honestly " the devil is a loser and hes my b****" colon that's funny.

Static X are not too bad a band. They do give a great show. They are nothing grand, but they do have more talent than other nu-metal bands like Korn, Linkin park and such. I would give them about a 5 on a 1 to 10 scale. Mostly because they can do a live show.

Curious how many people on this site actually? If ya like them thats fine but when I saw them at ozzfest there seemed to be a very large consensus that only a handfull of people came there to see them. They had very little crowd support. Most people didn't seem to be paying attention to them and many people used that time just to walk around aimlessly around the rest of ozzfest.
