Finnish metallers KALMAH will embark on the Canadian "For The Revolution" tour in April. Tentative dates are as follows (venue details to be announced):
April 23 - Toronto, ON
April 24 - Hamilton, ON
April 25 - Sudbury, ON
April 26 - Rouyn, QC
April 27 - Sag/Lac, QC
April 28 - Quebec, QC
April 29 - Montreal, QC
April 30 - Saint-Hyacinthe, QC
KALMAH entered the studio in October 2007 to begin recording its fifth full-length CD. According to guitarist Antti Kokko: "This album will be guitar-driven, raw-sounding, more riff-oriented but melodic, as KALMAH album always is. The band is very pleased with the result and I guess we are doing the best album so far. I know it is a cliché to say so, but I believe we are damn right about it!"

Hey,at least they made it to North America. Thats progress, they should make there way to the states within the year perhaps. Its odd because they dont want ot tour here because they feel that they wont sell tickets and such, but any educated metal fan that likes Bodom should also like Kalmah. So to me it feels like they have more than enough fans to make there way to the states,But maybe im wrong. Same goes for Norther, & Mors Principium Est

They've gotten more Bodom style in latter years with more "lead" keyboard stuff and the newer vocals. I was surprised when they only did the higher vocal style in one song on the new disk, but the music was still killer. Maybe they'll get lucky and find a US tour to grab onto after the Canadian run and we'll see um. Now we just Eternal Tears of Sorrow and Suidakra to make it stateside.

Yes,i was a bit surprised when Pekka only used his high raspy tone in a couple of areas on The Black Waltz. But the few times he did use it it kicked ass. Both of Pekka's vocal styles are really good, but it would be nice to hear a little bit more balance. We'll see what unfolds on the new album.
