Tampa, Florida's THE ABSENCE have issued the following update:

"The Absence are currently holding open auditions for a new, full time drummer. Besides great playing ability, these other standard requirements apply:"

"Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to play to a metronome.
Must be able to learn and play our full catalog of songs.
Must be able to tour full-time ie: able to leave home, work, family for months at a time.
Must legally be able to travel outside the United States.
No excessive alcohol or drug problems.
Must NOT steal our van and trailer."

"Tryouts will be held will be held in the Tampa, Florida area."

"For information on scheduling auditions please message us through our MySpace."

"SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE."

yah they are pretty cool dudes. i met jaime once a few years ago and he convinced me to buy their debut album (he works at the fye in the Westfield mall here in brandon) and was blown away since i half expected it to be another sh**ty metalcore band ripoff. needless to say theyve become one of my favorite local acts here in tampa.

these dudes, i saw them live once and they instatly become my favrite band, however it suked a$$ cuz at the show the fukos who opend the doors to the show wouldent let peplein until they just started and i dident get in until they were playing there last 3 songs. if ur ever in vancouver and go the croation cultral center for a show, spit in the door peoples faces for being idiots
