U.S. death metal pioneers NECROPHAGIA have set "Death Trip 69" as the title of their long-awaited new album, tentatively due before the summer via an as-yet-undisclosed label. The band is also planning a major tour with its international lineup, which includes Mirai Kawashima of SIGH, Italy's Titta Tanni, former IMMORTAL bassist Iscariah, Undead Torment, Fug and, of course, founding member Killjoy.

"Death Trip 69" will feature several guest appearances, including lead guitar parts by SLIPKNOT's Mick Thomson.

Yes, but Soulfly are nu metal too haha! Wow, way to go showing how little you know about these bands. I'm not doubting that you do actually listen to some real metal but seriously, these guys are certainly not. I enjoy listening to Slipknot and Soulfly, but they are NOT METAL. They have little twinges of metal in the music but not much. I'm not doubting Mick or Joey's integrity as skillful musicians and yeah, they have or will soon be doing something in true metal bands, but Slipknot are NOT METAL. And before anybody starts getting all b****y and whiney and starts spazzing out as SexBloodandMetal noted, please KNOW about what you are talking about instead of descending into a fan boy or angst ridden sobfest. Don't forget, I like Slipknot, but they ARE NOT, FOR THE LOVE OF METAL, METAL!!!

If any given band is not on www.metal-archives.com, then chances are (with a few exceptions, and questionable acceptances) that particular band most likely isn't metal.

But anyway, yeah, kudos to Mick for getting involved in a decent project!
