Darkane Post Video Footage With New Singer Online

Guitarist Christofer Malmström of the Swedish thrashers DARKANE has issued the following update:

"Darkane played our debut show with Jens [Broman; CONSTRUCDEAD, THE DEFACED] on vocals last Saturday at the ProgPower Scandinavia festival in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jens enjoyed every second of the show, and so did the rest of us. Our former vocalist Andreas was in the audience to support us, and he was very postive afterwards... along with the rest of the crowd. If you wanna see what it was like check out [the video clip here]!

"We are gonna play a show in Helsingborg on Monday (November 19) at The Tivoli. The event is arranged by Mega Musikgymnasium and during the evening bands consisting of students and teachers will play live, and because our drummer Peter [Wildoer] is a math teacher there we are gonna play a few songs. The entrance fee is only 20 SEK (about three American dollars)."

According to Malmström, Jens — who will also continue to sing in CONSTRUCDEAD and THE DEFACED – "grew up in Glumslöv, south of Helsingborg (a good friend of Björn Strid from SOILWORK), but now lives in Stockholm."

DARKANE drummer Peter Wildoer revealed last month that the band would start recording its fifth record this winter. "We have about nine songs ready," he said. "We were hoping to enter the studio earlier but in typical DARKANE bad luck, our studio got flooded and badly damaged. So now we're looking for a new location for the studio and as soon as we find that we need to rebuild the studio which takes a lot of time. Hopefully we will start recording around Christmas (fingers crossed)."
