Disturbed Singer Recalls Motorcycle Accident
The Pulse of Radio reports: DISTURBED singer David Draiman said last week that the band's new album, which it's currently recording in Chicago, will be angrier and more aggressive than the group's previous two efforts. Draiman told The Pulse of Radio that the mood of the record was inspired by several experiences he had in the last two years, of which the most painful was a motorcycle accident. "This guy cut me off," he said. "I was doing maybe 20, 25 miles an hour and he decided to turn in front of me whether I was coming or not, and I hit both the front and rear brakes and the rear wheels started to lock up. I was maybe 15, 20 feet away from the guy and still coming forward, so I had to lay the bike down. Scraped along the asphalt with it for about five, six feet. I had some road rash pretty bad on my right forearm, but that's about it."
Draiman added that he got up and started to chase the truck that cut him off, before witnesses made him stop and he realized that he was bleeding.
Some of Draiman's other experiences in the last two years included several romances that went bad, a fire that destroyed his garage and the vehicles inside it, plus family health and real estate issues.
The new DISTURBED CD is tentatively titled "Indestructible", with a spring 2008 release in the works.
The disc may contain a cover of FAITH NO MORE's "Midlife Crisis". However, the band's contribution to the soundtrack of this past summer's "Transformers" movie, called "This Moment", will not appear on the new album.

"real estate issues" ... oh yeah, i can relate becuase it's buyers market and i have million dollars too from my sh**ty bland same ol same ol metal and property value is just plummeting that makes me mad! i'm gonna write a song about how mad i am at century 21, and i'm going to poop on thier gold jackets because i'm david draiman and i'm a cool wombat massager with diabetes.

Xavez why mention diabetes?... Anywho for the next album to be angry because of a motorcycle accident, and his garage catching on fire, and the whole real estate. Thats not really that great... Family members illness, yes because people can relate to that but I don't see this album going very far.

I'd do more damage with my fists. Actually, I really wish I could. I can't fxcking stand this guy. He said at Ozzfest one year that bands whose names start with "the" ruined music. Like "THE Strokes and THE Hives and THE Vines but man, what about THE Beatles, THE Doors, THE Who, THE Grateful Dead, THE Clash...What a f***ing dumbass. I saw him on Uranium after BELIEVE came out, trying to talk about religion. He said an inverted pentagram is called a pentacle. He obviously didn't know that the difference between a pentagram and a pentacle is the circle around it, not which way it's facing. I think if you don't understand the simplest of symbols, then you have NO BUSINESS making an album about religion. What a f***ing retard. I wish he would've died in this motorcycle accident. Honestly. Metal would be better off without him. Like Cobain. Boy the future of music lucked out on him killin' himself, didn't it?

no, if cobain didnt kill himself i probably wouldnt have to hear a nirvana song everyday and i would be a lot happier. when he died his popularity skyrocketed. and the grateful dead totally f***ing suck. draiman is an idiot like every other front man from sh**ty numetal bands, so what would you expect him to say besides stupid things? youre talking about a band that appeals to people that think slipknot is the most brutal "metal" band in the world and think that cliched lyrics are amazing and would rather listen to the same simple riff then hear an actual solo.

This new Distrubed album most blow, because Draiman is off trying to create publicity about a motorcylce accident and his house.
