Helion Announce New Singer
Finnish melodic metallers HELION have recruited Simo Autio, mastermind behind the now-defunct CAUSEMOS, to be the group's new lead singer. "Knowing his scale of talent on the music field, we're excited to have him onboard," the band said in a statement. "It is fair to say, he is likely to be adding a whole new perspective into HELION music."
HELION's video of the song "God of Fire", recorded live during the band's April 27, 2007 concert at Torvi in Lahti, Finland, can be viewed here. The clip features a guest appearance on vocals by Kärtsy Hatakka of WALTARI.
HELION's latest album, "Mercury Rising", was recorded at Studio Sound Supreme (AMORAL, PAIN CONFESSOR, ROTTEN SOUND) and was the group's first CD to feature new guitar player Kimmo Korhonen. As an added bonus, a remixed version of "Pay Day" is also included on the effort.
