Finnish metallers Children Of Bodom have just entered Petrax Studio in Hollola, Finland to begin recording their as-yet-untitled sixth album. The follow-up to 2005's "Are You Dead Yet?" is being produced by Mikko Karmila and will feature a guest appearance by Peter Tägtgren of Hypocrisy and Pain fame. An April 2008 release is expected.

As previously reported, Finnish acts Moonsorrow and Kiuas have been confirmed as the support bands for Children Of Bodom at their one-off show on March 8, 2008 at London, England's Astoria. Advance tickets are currently available at this location and via a 24-hour credit card line on 0870 400 0688.

Children Of Bodom guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho made a guest appearance the new album from the Finnish band GODSPLAGUE. He played a solo in the song "Don't Come Back" and he sings backing vocals on the CD, entitled "H8", which came out on September 5.

Two songs from Children Of Bodom — "Angels Don't Kill" and "In Your Face" — are featured on the "Unholy Alliance Tour" DVD, due on October 30 via American Recordings. The set will feature the the "Unholy Alliance Tour: Preaching to the Perverted" lineup — Slayer, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Children Of Bodom and Thine Eyes Bleed. The DVD will have an approximate running time of 90 minutes.

The "Unholy Alliance Tour" DVD was shot at Vancouver's General Motors Place on July 13, 2006, was directed by Adam Rothlein (Speedway Films), and boasts performance footage plus bonus material to include backstage, behind-the-scenes and one-on-one interviews, many of which were conducted by the Unholy Alliance artists themselves.

CrawfagTexasJimmerJammer seems to have some personal issues with COB. A clever post nontheless- doubt it's original, and doesnt realize that he is disliking a seriously talented band. Their live shows are non-stop adrenaline. He must not like having fun.

No, I just don't like watching a bleach blond hobbit who thinks he's the Yngwie of metal jig around onstage while some gay keyboards are going "fwee-dee-dee fwee-dee-dee fwee-dee-dee". Oh, Alexi, you can headbang in a circle. Good for you. Oh, you can play sweeps, too? Wow! You're the only guitar player that can do so! And in effect, combining the "fwee-dee-dee" of the synthesizers and the same goddamn sweep set album after album really adds to the one-dimensional quality of their music. Loomis f***ing buries this guy.

Like I said: Children of Boredom

Don't be mad that you didn't think of that first.
