Paul Bostaph Back With Testament

Paul Bostaph (ex-SLAYER/EXODUS) will join the ranks alongside originating classic thrash legends Chuck Billy on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Eric Peterson on rhythm guitar and Greg Christian on bass. Unfortunately Nick Barker (ex-DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH) will not be recording with Testament on this new album, due to Homeland Security and International Work Visa issues. Rather than delaying this long awaited return of Testament, the band has chosen to recruit Paul Bostaph, long time friend and member, to record on the much anticipated album, which is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2008 release via Nuclear Blast.

Well that kind of sucks that Barker won't be recording. Hopefully he's had an impact, because the band seemed pretty psyched and reinvigorated to be working with him.

It's been a while since I've heard a really good Testament album, I think Souls Of Black was the last one, Practice What You Preach and The New Order are definately their best. And Paul kicks ass, f*** black metal and their drummers.

i disagree blakscorpion21, while Bostaph cant bring anything negative to this band in anyway Nick Barker could bring more to the table and make it more unique (hopefully with some black metal influences)

I know it's not the popular opinion but i prefer Paul to Dave. Dave is an awesome drummer, I just like Paul's flow a bit better, if you know what I mean. Not all black metal is bad, but it's not my thing.
