Chthonic To Tour Europe With Ensiferum

Taiwanese metal icons CHTHONIC — currently impressing American crowds at Ozzfest, where they're the first-ever Asian extreme metal act to perform — have confirmed their first European tour, which will see them play alongside "heroic folk metal" warriors ENSIFERUM (Spinefarm Records). The Finnish band had a No. 1 single and a Top 10 album in its home country earlier this year and also recently cracked the Top 40 on the German album chart. Dates and venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
"We're very excited to continue taking the 'UNlimited' tour abroad," says CHTHONIC vocalist Freddy Lim. "It's always been a dream to tour internationally, and it's amazing that within a few months' time, we've been able to play the biggest metal festivals in both America and Germany and tour so extensively. Europe will never be the same after the Taiwan Typhoon strikes!"
CHTHONIC's "UNlimited" tour — named to protest how the United Nations (UN) limits Taiwan's full participation as an independent country — kicked off in Taipei earlier this summer following the international re-release of 2002's "Relentless Recurrence" and last year's "A Decade On The Throne" two-CD/DVD live set. The North American leg consists of 60 shows, including two dozen "off-fest" concerts with NILE and a handful of September dates supporting black metal legends CRADLE OF FILTH.
CHTHONIC, who also performed at the sold-out Wacken Open Air festival in Germany earlier this month, will kick off their European tour by playing alongside TWISTED SISTER, MY DYING BRIDE, THE 69 EYES, TESLA and dozens more at the Hard Rock Hell festival in Minehead, England on Nov. 9.

yes this band when i seen em with NILE (not at ozzfest) where alright but, i do not see them doing anything but a small splash, the guitar riffs were not original just a bunch of clunky chunky riffs, the only thing that stood out was that asian violin type instrument which was cool but quickly sounded the same in each song nothing real special

Hard Rock Hell on Nov 9th takes place in MineHEAD, not Minefield... though that could be interesting, lol!
