Anthrax Not To Appear At Loud Fest

Contrary to a posting at the LoudFest.com web site, ANTHRAX will **NOT** perform at the Loud Fest 07 on August 18 at Haverhill Stadium in Haverhill, Massachusetts. A representative for former ANTHRAX singer Joey Belladonna has told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that Belladonna and his solo band will appear at the event, which will feature additional performances by MELIAH RAGE, FALLEN SHALL RISE, BLEED FOR SORROW, JADED, CANDY STRIPER DEATH ORGY, KULTUR, SHAVAHAWK and SOURCE OF CONTEMPT. The all-ages festival will feature 13 acts on two stages.

ANTHRAX split with Joey Belladonna in January, less than two years after reuniting with him and other members of the band's "classic" lineup of the '80s and early '90s. Vocalist John Bush had been a member of the band before that, from 1993 to 2005.

I always hated Belladona as a vocalist. They[Anthrax] ROYALLY screwed up by firing/letting go of John Bush. You would think these bands would learn...i.e. Van Halen....etc. Bush is an awesome singer. Former singer for ARMORED SAINT.

C'mon man!! You make huge strides, have a loyal following, and have one of metal's best front men in John Bush. Then you go off pull something like this. I cannot support Belladonna, not because I'm a hater, simply because he is a better fit for Slaughter, or Warrant, or maybe even Cinderella. Bring Bush back, cut an album, and give me an excuse to bring my hard earned cash down to the local best buy and purchase "not burn," another good Anthrax CD with my man J. Bush on it! I agree that Bush is a better vocalist but the stuff Anthrax wrote with Bush isn't as good as thier stuff with Belladonna, thier music was better with Belladonna I mean. When Bush joined you could barely call them thrash metal anymore. I stick with the old Anthrax when they were a real thrash band - Among The Living, good f***in album!!!!!

As much as i love the old skool 'Thrax sound, John Bush was the better vocalist. The reunion tour with Belladonna was great fun but now i'll never get to se one of my fave bands with their best line up seeing as how bush has gone back to armored saint.
