Gilby Clarke has reportedly left Rock Star Supernova. No reason for the departure has been given, although disappointing sales, less than 56,000 in the US, are believed to have contributed to the decision.
According to front-man Lukas Rossi, the band will change their name and are currently writing for a new album.

Maybe but no-one would have cared if he wasn't in a band which features members of probably the three biggest American rock bands of all time. All of them are fantastic musicians but should stick to what they play best. I can see how Clarke and Lee gel together but I never would have imagined Newsted in a band with those two. Don't get me wrong I love Metallica (as well as Flotsam and Jetsam, Voivod and Echobrain), Motley Crue and GNR but it just seemed strange to me.

Who f***ing cares. They were the worst band they could be. I am so embarrassed for Newsted to have even been a part of that crap.
