Slayer and Marilyn Manson To Co-Headline Summer Tour

Slayer and Marilyn Manson announce that they will co-headline a North American major-market summer tour set to kick off July 25 on the east coast. Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the west coast. A full, confirmed schedule will be announced shortly.
Manson and Slayer will each play full sets, and two support bands, yet to be determined, will open all shows.
Just prior to the American trek, both Manson and Slayer will be on tour throughout Europe, sharing the stage at three European festivals - the UK's Download Festival at Donington (June 9), Greenfield Festival in Sweden (June 15), and Stockholm's Metaltown Festival (June 30).
Marilyn Manson just wrapped up work on his upcoming June release to be titled, "EAT ME, DRINK ME."

I HATE MANSON. But his musics pretty good. Your right, good bands always ruin themselves by playing with stupid people. Look at Korn. Evanessence and Aiden is on the Family Values Tour. Thats f***ing retarted. Korn shouldn't play with emos unless it's in a bad way.

Slayer keeps moving closer to mainsteam. I don't think they will ever pull a Metallica, but they seem to be reaching for something else. I think christ illusion is the worst material they have ever put out, and some of the songs seem watered down to appeal to a softer audience. Its like watching the Heavy weight champ stay in the ring past his prime. The last fights are just for the money.

On a serious note. Manson must have some good material with this next album if Slayer is playing with them. Slayer's the kinda band that you gotta be WORTHY to play with them. I'm gonna say this bars opening for them, since Static-X opened for Slayer (and got booed). But playing a full show with Slayer, different story. So Manson just might have some good stuff this time around....

Are both of these bands hurtin for money? That's the only reason they would do this right, to get a different crowd exposed to the other band. I saw Manson a couple times at Ozzfest and it's a pretty good show, but not the heaviest music and it's not fast...nothing like Slayer.
Machine Head is about to drop a new disc, Slayer should've got them for a tour.

Not alot of emos listen to manson, just the ones that pretend to be emo for attention. and manson is not goth either. at best he can be described industrial.

Hey i think that even tho marilyn manson is there, who f***ing cares. Any real slayer fan will go because its slayer and theyre not gunna be around too much longer. personally i will sit through 2 hrs of manson to hear 2 hrs of slayer. Plus ive always wanted to be at a show where opening bands/ bands touring with them, get drowned out "Slayer, Slayer, Slayer"

In the begining of this post people were putting down Slayer saying that the music is watered down and their going downhill....are you guys out of your minds??? This is the only band you can count on to put out a great metal album everytime. Unlike other crap bands who keep giving us boring drained out metal songs like Machine Head, Megadeth and of course Metallica.
