Sevendust On Family Values 2007 Tour?

Band Photo: Lamb of God (?)
Sevendust could possibly take Lamb of God's, who were "kicked off" the tour last month, place on the 2007 Family Values Tour. Korn, Evanescence and Aiden have been confirmed for the tour. An official announcement regarding the tour will be made later this month.
In other Sevendust news, they debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with their new album 'Alpha' selling 42,000 units.

Like most "Metalheads", I bought the new Sevendust album. I really enjoy it. It's heavy, and it's fresh. Not one of my favorite bands, but the music is strong and the message is clear. I think they deserve a bigger tour, but I guess their label has other ideas. And yes, I also am happy to hear that Lamb of God will not be on the "Family Values" tour. I believe it's a good tour for bands like Korn, but it's not my cup of tea. I vote Sevendust and Lamb of God do their own tour. But hey, as long as Sevendust is getting back out there and writing honest music, I wish 'em the best of luck. BLEED BLACK LABEL!!!

I hope these guys do get this. Although they do deserve their own massive US tour it would be really cool to see them play with Korn. But no one has mentioned that the replacement guitarist for Korn right now is the former Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery. I dont think that there is any bad blood between the two but maybe Clint can do a few songs with his old band.

Hey dude, have u not seen the clips they've been playing of Korn for the last month and a half?!?!?!?!?! Because I know that I have. So yes they are MTV friendly. It doesn't have to be pop culture to be played on there.
And Sevendust is EXCELLENT live! I'm seeing them this coming Monday with Diecast.

But bassmaster I remember seeing their music videos even before that. I remember seeing Freak on a Leash and showing album previews for whatever the one with the f***ing rappers on it.
And BrianSD, it'll be a f***ing awesome show! I hear that Invitro is horrible though but I haven't listened to them yet.

bassmaster, in reply to post #7...What? Like they're NOT MTV friendly? Did you not notice the 'unplugged' session, and the overplaying of their songs from the album that they released via Virgin/EMI records?
Its just annoying to watch corporate television to a point where I don't watch tv, and spend more time either online, or going out (Usually going out). First it was Korn on Headbanger's Ball, then it was the overplay of more sh1tty bands, then Flyleaf covering Nirvana [horribly], then idiotic judges on American Idol considering Evanescence to be a 'heavy band'...The fvck?!

I have no clue who is on MTV because I don't watch MTV.... But Sevendust should not be on this tour. They would stick out like a hard-on at rest home. But if they want metal to have a broader fan base, I suppose this is an ok place to try. I won't waste my money though.

Sevendust and Lamb of God should just start their own damn tour. I for one think that it would be moderately successful, especially considering that Alpha just hit the Billboard Top 10.
And by the way: Korn, Sevendust, and Lamb of God have all been on MTV on multiple occasions, so that argument is just going to go in circles.

Shut the f*** up.KoRn was- is and will be the most f***ing cool group in the world!be sure; Jon,Fieldy, etc f***s everything whatever we are talking about!that's f***ing all
guys!
ps: i think Amy Lee sucks Jon's c***....think about it!Suddenly,Jon became so sweet person...i dont think so>>>>>

Sorry I can't read elementary school kids writing. Korn was never, is not, and will never be "the most f***ing cool group in the world!" And I really understand this statement: "be sure; Jon,Fieldy, etc f***s everything whatever we are talking about!that's f***ing all guys!" Are you saying that he f***s everything, even guys? Don't try to defend a band when you're more retarded than they are.

The MTV argument is pointless. I've seen Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, and Slayer played on Mtv.
So Who Gives A sh**!
The difference is Sevendust and LoG have never been on TRL or any shows similar to that, and Korn has. When you're in the same count down as Nelly and boy bands, there's an obvious problem.
All I care about is the Sevendust/Diecast show tomorrow night in Chicago!! And I don't want to see Sevendust or LoG on Family Values, they can both do fine without that tour.

I used to love korn. They were a good band before. Now theyre out of ideas. See you on the other side was a horrible album that got them the mtv freindliness. Now theyre still clueless so they remix their old stuff trying to rake up as much cash as possible before people realize the bands in the sh**ter.
But no matter. AIDEN SUCKS! all theese emo b****e are going to come. evanesence is ok.
This whole tour is losing its credibilty for metal.
