London, Ontario based female rockers, KITTIE, released FUNERAL FOR YESTERDAY on their own X OF INFAMY RECORDS on 2/20/07 to great fan and critic reaction. The album roared into the Billboard Top 200 at #101 as the 8th highest debut of the week (7th highest on the Indie Charts). Most impressive was the record's debut at #20 on the iTunes Pop Albums chart this week.
The band's single and title track, "Funeral For Yesterday," has gained a foothold at rock radio with stations like WRIF in Detroit, MI and WKLQ in Grand Rapids, MI getting its start with nearly 2 million in audience. The video for the single will be released soon and already has numerous early add commitments. KITTIE has mounted a headline tour and taken out friends Walls Of Jericho and 36 Crazyfists to support them. The successful US run will continue through the end of March 2007. The band plans to tour behind FUNERAL FOR YESTERDAY throughout the year, to reach fans everywhere.
