um, they're sort of pop-metal a lot of the time. especially their new stuff. check out "dirty second hands", for example - it could be a hit on any metal station. it's hard to pin these guys into 1 genre.

Sorry guys, that was an honest mistake. I was confusing Switchfoot with Switchback. And lets not forget Switched, which is also a somewhat metal-ish band. Switchfoot really has no place here. My apologies.
