Underoath Not Breaking Up, Dismisses Rumors
After remaining relatively silent since the dropped off the Warped tour in in late July, Underoath has finally made a cryptic statement about their status as a band and some of the various rumours that surfaced in the aftermath. One of the more popular rumours was the NOFX's Fat Mike had somehow tormented the band to such an extent that the band had left the tour, one that Mike quickly refuted.
Instead, the band left this brief statement:
"Don't belive the rumors, Underoath did not break up, no one has been kicked out or quit or in rehab or any other silly places people are talking about. The dudes are getting ready to do their Canadian tour and then Taste of Choas international and then will do a headline tour in the US after that."
The wildly popular Christian metalcore act is supporting their 2006 full length, Define the Great Line.

P.S. - is underoath that well known around the country? cause I live in tampa and they're from here. but it seems like they're just some local band not some huge well known band like Marilyn Manson or Cannibal Corpse(both being from Tampa)

NOFX is one of the greatest punk bands to ever live. Fat Mike is the man, and I'm sure Underoath didn't leave because he was making fun of them...
Have any of you thats been bashing on Underoath ever listened to them? Their new cd is fantastic. I thought they would put something soft out again, but thank God they proved me wrong and went back to making the heavy goodness. Check out their old EP's if you want to hear just blazing speed and "originality". Whether they are Christian or not, why would you judge. I'm Christian, but I love Cradle of Filth. You can like music, and disagree with what they stand for.

Cannibal Corpse writes all there songs while they hit the John everyday and they recall what they had for dinner the other night and put it into words and call it a song, but u can't tell cause u can't understand them. Seriously, who wants to listen to a band that sings about Dissembouing Children and Making People Suffer??? Oh well, they will all burn in hell one day anyway, while Underoath can rock for eternity. Death Metal is lame. Thrash is the stuff. Tourniquet, Extol, Kekal, Becoming The Archetype, and With Faith Or Flames arer the best bands ever. Enough said. Underoath is awesome also. They prove that u don't have to be metal to make good music. All u haters just shove it.

LLT-- emo's just a genre too, not a way of life. it doesnt matter what they believe in, its about the music they write. if they write emo than their f***ing emo, if they write thrash their thrash. my point was that black metal generally tends to give homage to satan...blah blah blah. which is pretty anti-christian. i never said that you had to be a satanist to write black metal (which according to venom, black metal is about drugs, sex, rebellion, etc. etc., and satan worshipping "black metal" is just another form of death metal). but if underoath only followed their good upstanding christian faith in music, they probably wouldnt be satanic black metal.
