CBGB Announce Initial Farwell Shows

At the end of September, legendary New York City club CBGB will be closing its doors for good. In celebration of its legacy, a number of farewell shows will be held at the club throughout August and September. The following are a couple of the more notable shows already announced:

8/18 - DROPKICK MURPHY'S, A GLOBAL THREAT
8/19 - H20
8/20 - NO REDEEMING SOCIAL VALUE, AWKWARD THOUGHT, DISTRICT 9, STARKWEATHER, DISASSOCIATE, TEARS OF FRUSTRATION, BOTTOM LINE
9/3 - GORILLA BISCUITS
9/4 - STRIKE ANYWHERE, IGNITE, A GLOBAL THREAT, MODERN LIFE IS WAR
9/8 - ANGRY SAMOANS, DIRTY TACTICS, THE KRAYS

this sucks cbgbs is a rock and roll land mark and they are just going to close it down, bummer. oh well at least i can say i went to a couple of shows there. i will miss the place. i just wish i could have saw disturbed there when they played there
